As from Friday 4th January 2008 we will be running a self defence course, every Tuesday and Friday from 6.30 to 7.30pm until the end of January. 

This is open to everyone, not just club members.  The course will comprise various grappling, stick and edged weapon techniques, as well as striking and control techniques as taught to the British armed forces, Japanese and UK police forces.

This will be a mixed class, i.e. juniors and seniors will be sharing the same mat though will not train together for safety reasons. 

Each lesson will cost £4, though club members will get a rebate on this fee. There will be no gi's worn during these training sessions, order of dress will be tracksuits.

Zen Eikoku Tomiki Aikido Renmei in association with the Aikido Development Society is hosting a Weapons Course featuring the Jo No Tsuki and the Tachi Tai tachi sections of the Koryu Dai San.
Course tutors Sensei Shaun Hoddy 6th Dan ZETAR, ADS & Sensei Greg Barton 4th Dan.

It will take place Saturday 3rd November 2007, from 2:30pm to 6:00pm at Canvey Island.

An Aikido National Course organised by the British Aikido Association will take place on Saturday 29th September 2007 from 9:30 til 4:15.

Cost £20 if you book in advance, or £25 at the door.

It will be held at:
Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre
Bisham
Nr Marlow
Bucks, SL7 1RT

There will be two demo days this year, held at local primary school fete's. These will be held on Sat 23rd June and Sun 24th June.  If you are free on either of these days and can help out by either taking part or even just walking around with club leaflets, could you please let Jim know please.

The adult grading will take place at the Sleeping Storm Dojo in Epsom on Sunday 20th May 2007. Those adults eliglble I have already spoke with. Good luck.
There will be a club grading up to Blue Belt for adults and juniors probably at the end of June or beginning of July.
A date for this is yet to be set.

Sunday 6th May 2007, there will e a training day at the Swan Centre starting at 1 pm and going through to 4pm.

This is aimed at those studetns who train in the adult class only.

The main theme for this will be Randori, though stay flexible on this and still bring your weapons.
